Renee is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor, and National Certified Counselor. She completed a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation at Ottawa University and a Graduate Diploma in Christian Counseling at Phoenix Seminary. Renee is a certified EMDR therapist. Renee's passion for EMDR therapy is fueled by her clients' report of a reduction in disturbing symptoms associated with painful and traumatic experiences. Renee is also certified in Brainspotting and Level 1 trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Renee's nurturing presence facilitates her clients' ability to experience a hopeful perspective of healing from trauma, abuse, and unresolved grief that underlies many mental health issues. By offering a non-shaming environment to cry, laugh and express vulnerability, Renee creates the safety needed to promote personal growth and healing.
