"To change the world, it starts with one step. No matter how small, the first step is hardest of all (David John Matthews)," but you are here and you're not alone. Renee is a Clinical Licensed Certified Social Worker with over 20 years experience in the helping profession. She proudly earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore. Her social work experience includes the following: working with those involved in the legal system, individuals struggling with addiction, older adults struggling with depression and illness management, crisis intervention, coping with trauma and anxiety, and chronic mental illness. Renee is honored to be a social worker with the opportunity to help guide you through the often rough and unsteady waters of life. Utilizing another reference to water, she believes that in order to cross the ocean, one must be able to get past the break. There are times in life which lead to feelings of hopelessness and uncertainty. She wants to be a source of support and encouragement, so that you regain your feeling of hope and restore confidence within yourself. In addition to her commitment toward being the change she wants to see in the world with humans, she also is a staunch advocate for non-human animals. Renee enjoys life at home with two rescue dogs, two rescue cats, and one rescue cow. She also appreciates any opportunity to explore nature through hiking, visiting beaches, listening to music, and traveling to see the Dave Matthews Band.
