Introduction

Symptoms caused by depression, anxiety, trauma, transitions, divorce, addictions, and mental illness can cause us to lose sight of our path and feel lost and overwhelmed in our experience. Therapy can help you navigate and reclaim your confidence and sense of peace and wellbeing. I consider it a privilege to walk along with you during your journey as you explore your path and fulfill your goals. I utilize a client centered integrative approach and consider you the expert of your experience. Together we process your concerns which are leading you to therapy and together find the solutions and conclusions that work best for you. Given that each person is unique with varying needs, the type of intervention and skills we chose in session may vary. Modalities that I draw from include Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), hypnosis, and mindfulness techniques. Renae has worked in the mental health filed since 1994 in a variety of mental health settings. She completed her Bachelors degree from Buena Vista University and received her Masters in Social Work from Boise State University. She is licensed through the State of Iowa as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW).
