Introduction

Welcome to Nadelman Counseling! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who focuses on adolescent, early and mid adult therapy services. I specialize in working with suicidal ideation, self harm , interpersonal relationships and skills based practices. I started out in community mental health clinics and worked 5 years at an inpatient psychiatric facility. I am currently transitioning from working at Children's Health in the SPARC (Suicide Prevention and Resilience in Children) IOP, where I have been for the past 5 1/2 years. I use a variety of methods including, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy skills (please note I am not a certified DBT therapist), goal centered treatment and accountability practices to improve upon self worth and person centered skills. I have a growth mindset approach to therapy and will work starting out with what YOU are wanting, needing and willing to try in treatment. I have a more direct approach and my goal is for each client to find apply various coping, communication and interpersonal skills to ride out our emotional waves and build a life worth living. The relationship between therapist and client is the foundation to an effective therapy experience. Building a rapport with my clients and their families (if in family therapy or a minor) is necessary for one to trust the process. I believe that with hope, validation and a little humor we can begin our journey! https://214counseling.com/clinicians/remy-nadelman/
