I am a highly skilled doctor specializing in addiction psychology, with expertise in addressing addiction concerns, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Since 2009, I have successfully practiced as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Qualified Supervisor in Florida for Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors. I am also recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor by the National Board for Certified Counselors. My doctoral research focused on the effects of sex differences in media messages regarding cannabis prevention among college-age populations, and I have published insights on evidence-based treatment, client-centered therapy, and survivor guilt. With a robust background that includes academic appointments and extensive experience in both hospital and outpatient settings, I hold professional licensure in Georgia and Florida. Additionally, I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy for Sports Medicine. In my downtime, I channel my passion for endurance racing and cherish moments with my dogs and spouse. I Help People Challenge Their Limits: As a national titleholder in artistic roller skating and a regional titleholder in ice figure skating, I bring a unique perspective to achieving excellence. My experience includes a professional tour with Disney on Ice for 2.5 years, where I was the understudy for Jafar/Genie in "Aladdin on Ice." I had the privilege of performing at renowned venues like Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Palacio Deportes in Mexico City, the Budokan in Japan, and the SkyDome in Toronto, Canada to name a few. Alongside my coaching credentials as a former professional ice skating coach and a member of the Professional Skating Association (PSA), I have been a proud member of United States of America Triathlon (USAT) since 2004. I have successfully completed over 68 endurance events, including Ironman Full and Half distances, century rides, full marathons, half marathons, 10Ks, and 5Ks. I am dedicated to providing walking programs for recovery and empowering clients to find new sober pathways through athletics and sports. Currently, I am actively recruiting individuals in early recovery who are ready to join a transformative 3-month program focused on cultivating early recovery skills through healthy behaviors.
