Introduction

My name is Rebecca Young, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing services in Colorado and, soon, Wyoming. As a master's level clinician, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals in healing from trauma and managing the challenges of everyday life. Currently, I utilize my clinical expertise at Veteran Affairs, working with those who have served our country—our Veterans. As a US Navy veteran myself, it is an honor to contribute to the healing of the brave men and women who have defended our nation. Through my private practice: VIALYF, I am excited to extend my commitment to serving the community by offering my clinical skills and support on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. My approach to therapy centers on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship that allows you to feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Together, we will examine the unique challenges and experiences that have shaped your reality and contributed to behavioral and relational patterns that were developed for your protection but may no longer be beneficial. Often, the authentic self is obscured by layers of trauma and maladaptive behaviors that lead to distress, depression, anxiety, negative thoughts, relationship difficulties, and addictions. In our sessions, we will focus on alleviating the loneliness, pain, and frustration you may experience and rediscovering your true self. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
