I believe that counseling is a process for an individual to find insight to their own truth. It is my desire to be a collaborative team, setting goals and accomplishing them at a pace that makes each client feel empowered. I value being honest and direct with clients and have been appreciated for not shying away from challenging situations. Above all, I want every client who enters my office to feel seen and heard. Effective therapy is a space for someone to evaluate challenges in their world, away from judgement and with non-bias communication. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from York College of Pennsylvania and a Master of Social Work from Delaware State University. In the human services and mental health fields, I have worked as a Behavior Analyst and a Social Worker for the past 5 years. While being a Behavioral Analyst, I worked with Delaware Mentor providing services to adults with intellectual disabilities. During my time as a Social Worker, I have had the opportunity to work in addiction therapy, couples therapy, as well as individual and family therapy. I am an advocate for all individuals including those apart of the LGBTQ+ community as well. My experiences personally and professionally have provided me with an understanding of many different cultures, backgrounds, and settings, to help aid others in their healing journey. My clients include children, adolescents, couples, and adults. My client base has a wide range of concerns, which include Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Attachment Disorders, Substance Abuse, ADD/ADHD, Relationship Issues, Trauma, Transgender Issues, and Intellectual Disabilities.
