Introduction

I am an EMDR Certified Therapist offering intensive therapy for clients wanting relief and results faster than is possible with the weekly session model! Instead of spending 8 one hour sessions over the course of 2 months, we harness the momentum of extended sessions over the course of a few days. I began offering EMDR Intensives to be able to support more people in their healing journey and in response to experiencing how much healing could be done with extended sessions. In pursuing training and certification in EMDR, I have seen the power this type of approach can hold for many clients to experience the shifts and healing they are longing for. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an empirically validated therapeutic approach to address trauma, distressing events, or pervasive negative beliefs that may be preventing living a life with freedom. (For more information on EMDR please visit www.EMDRIA.org or www.EMDR.com) EMDR Therapy is different from traditional "talk therapy" in that clients don't need to share details they are not desiring to share. (For more information you can listen to the Beyond Trauma Podcast, Episode 6: Will I have to talk about it?) Much of the healing is done through safety in the therapeutic relationship, with resourcing according to the client's needs, and internally reprocessing while paying attention to an external left and right stimulus, like eye movements. In an EMDR Intensive, I will partner with you to identify what resources could best meet your needs to help decrease anxious, depressive, or otherwise distressing symptoms you may be experiencing. We'll collaboratively and compassionately discover potential underlying issues and maladaptive strategies, to create a treatment plan for our work together. Due to this brief model, we'll seek to focus in on your priority and collaborate on a plan for continued future growth. I work with individual adults who are seeking this brief, accelerated stand alone therapy or as adjunct therapy to supplement their work with their regular therapist. I incorporate Attachment, Sandtray, Expressive Arts, Ego States Parts Work, and Somatic approaches into my EMDR work, with the therapeutic relationship between myself and my client as the core value. My EMDR Intensive offerings include two options: The 1 WEEKEND OFFERING Includes: Workbook for pre-, during, & post- intensive 2 Hour Intake & Resourcing Session Day 1- 3 hour session Day 2- 3 hour session & integration Based on a personalized, supportive approach, Day 1 and Day 2 in Weekend 1 may consist of resourcing or a combination of resourcing and reprocessing. Email me, call, or text for a FREE 15-30 min. initial consultation for more information and to see if working with me in an EMDR Intensive might be a fit for you! Not all therapists are a fit for everyone and that's ok!
