Rebecca is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at CAOCD. She earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Chapman University and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California Lutheran University. Prior to working at CAOCD, Rebecca trained at the Frances Smith Center at Chapman University where she conducted individual, couple, family, and group sessions with local community members. While there, Rebecca gained substantial experience working with children and teens in a behavioral health setting and discovered her passion for working with anxiety disorders, which led her to pursue a specialization at CAOCD. Rebecca utilizes a warm and collaborative approach in therapy, striving to create an environment where clients feel motivated and supported in reaching their goals. Through a style of gentle guidance and encouragement, Rebecca facilitates growth in her clients and is committed to walking alongside them every step of the way. Rebecca trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches while at Chapman University and has become specialized in the use of exposure with response prevention (ERP) through her training at CAOCD. Rebecca is also trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), an evidence-based treatment which allows her to effectively coach parents on the best way to help their children manage anxiety and OCD, and is an active member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
