People come to see me when they are struggling with self-defeating patterns, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, professional challenges, or seeking greater balance in their lives. I provide a warm, safe environment that fosters authentic and collaborative therapeutic relationships. I believe in the integrity of my clients and the uniqueness of their life stories and experiences. I believe our inner dialogue and self-narrative shapes the way in which we see and interact with our world and the relationships we hold. People describe me as compassionate and someone who brings understanding and acceptance into the therapy room. In my practice I believe in integrating clinical and practical approaches. I draw from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and narrative therapy as well as mindfulness and solution-focused techniques. I use the mind/body connection to promote a deeper understanding of the history of trauma and to facilitate healing. I also include yoga and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) as part of my practice, when appropriate. Together we will explore and bring awareness to the areas that influence experience, motivate behavior, and contribute to the struggles present in your life. We will work together to establish a treatment plan that suits your individual needs and helps you reach your therapeutic goals. This includes approaches that can be integrated into your everyday lifestyle. My commitment is to helping my clients achieve balance and success in the areas that are most meaningful to them. I hold an M.S. in Psychology and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I hold certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2 (CCTP-II). I am the founder/owner of New Legacy Psychotherapy & Wellness in Davenport, Iowa. I am also a certified Life Coach and received my 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification from Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Meenakshi Ashram in Madurai, India.
