Dr. Rebecca Muirhead, PsyD. is a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in individual psychotherapy with adolescents, adults and families. Her education and clinical training have focused on treating depression, anxiety, social issues, grief and loss, ADHD, parenting consultations, family conflict and divorce. Dr. Muirhead has extensive experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and supporting their families. Therapy Approach Dr. Muirhead’s clinical work is based primarily on Attachment Theory, but she offers a combination of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, along with Psychodynamic Therapy. There is no typical session when working with Dr. Muirhead because she tries to meet the needs of each individual client. She has a direct but compassionate approach and incorporates humor when appropriate. Dr. Muirhead believes that it is through a strong therapeutic relationship, along with practical coping skills and emotional support that positive change is possible. Dr. Muirhead feels it is important that each client can identify progress from their work with her.
