Much of what keeps us unwell is not being able to say everything that needs to be said. Barriers to speaking freely prevent us from feeling understood and validated. I work with individuals to help say what has not been said, and thus experience a greater range of thoughts and feelings. This is the framework for achieving a great sense of self, and integration of identity. This process often occurs "bit by bit", allowing for immediate relief, but also the opportunity for long term work of depth and insight, that leads to lasting change. I specialize in working with teenagers and young adults who struggle with depression, anxiety and belonging. My work focuses on helping navigate complex emotional problems of living, life transitions, and ambivalence in relationships. I believe the ability to speak freely, and feel heard and known, in the presence of another, is ultimately what leads to healing.
