I believe that the first step toward change is acceptance and compassion. Even maladaptive behavior has a function in our lives, and I aim to help my clients understand the needs behind unwanted behavior patterns so that we can work together to create patterns that more closely align with the individual's unique needs, values, and strengths. I specialize in treating adults with depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma-related disorders, and aim to create a safe, empathetic space for clients of all backgrounds. My counseling style is client-centered, strengths-based and compassionate. My work incorporates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused. You are not alone, and there is hope.
