LCSW Raquel Molina LCSW
Specialties: Anxiety, Trauma, PTSD, Self Esteem, Relationship Issues,

Introduction

I specialize in helping men and women with trauma, anxiety and low self-worth. They might feel overwhelmed when in social settings, or struggle with impactful emotions like worry or shame. Sometimes, this distress is the result of a traumatic experience or period of major change, and can negatively impact a person's relationship with others. As a gender affirming care therapist I have experience and enjoy working with transgender, nonbinary and gender diverse adults by supporting them while they explore their identity or transitioning. My approach to therapy centers around building meaningful and trusting relationships with my clients and empowering them in self-growth. I am a strengths-based therapist who believes that every person has innate resilience, and I teach clients how to tap into that natural resilience to overcome barriers to feeling balanced and content. I provide education regarding what happens in the brain and in the body when presented with stress or trauma, and encourage clients to become curious about what is happening internally for them in different situations. I am a Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapist and utilize this therapy for those stuck in trauma reactions. I earned my Master's degrees in Social Work from the University of Southern California and have over 13 years of experience. I am also a Reiki practitioner and enjoy incorporating and educating my clients about various healing approaches aligned with the Chakra system.
