Introduction

So, you're thinking about attending counseling, but you're not sure why; well, most people come to counseling because they've been dealing with the issue for some time and have seemed to be able to get past it. Some common problems could be figured out on your own or with the assistance of close friends, but some types of issues are much more advanced and, therefore, require the aid of a professional counselor. These counselors are not just listeners but professionally trained to help you get to the root of your problems, overcome emotional challenges, and make positive life changes. For this reason, choosing counseling can be one of the most important decisions of your life, and you can feel confident in the expertise of the counselors. But you also want to choose the right counselor, someone you can trust to make you feel cared for and with the experience to help you make the changes for the better. A good therapist should help you become stronger and much more self-aware. Some counselors are experts in relationships and understand the dynamics of our interactions with others. Relationship counselors help in intimate relationships with a partner or spouse, other family members, and even people within your professional working world. Some counselors have experience in particular areas, such as addiction management, anger management, adjusting to life changes, conflict reduction and management, developing higher levels of emotional intelligence, food and eating difficulties, grief and loss, healing and forgiveness, spiritual development, and much more. I have been a professional counselor for over 30 years, helping individuals address the life issues mentioned above; over 80% of my clients have successfully overcome these challenges and created the outcomes they hoped for before starting the counseling process. While being a comforting and encouraging guide, a counselor must also be someone who always encourages growth so that you will be successful and not remain as you were when you came to counseling. If you have been seeing a counselor for months and not getting any results, then it is time to find a new therapist. If you are ready to create the change you are looking for, please schedule a consultation session with me to see if I can offer you the kind of help you are looking for. I am encouraged that we can accomplish much together to address the issues troubling you and have brought you to counseling. I hope to see you in session soon!
