Through personal, professional, and educational experiences, I have learned to use an integrated and balanced approach to emotional, mental, and physical change through the counseling process. I strive to create a warm and understanding environment to empower my clients, and help you navigate and heal during unique life circumstances. I graduated with a BA in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2003 and Masters in Counseling from Southeastern in 2007. I have spent the last 17 years providing mental health services to clients at each level of care; individual outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential, as well as academic and career advising at Louisiana State University. I have been active with the Louisiana Counseling Association since 2006, and a lifetime advocate for mental health. I am a LPC supervisor in the State of Louisiana and a LCPC in the State of Maine. In addition to general mental health practice, I specialize in working with fathers and non-birthing parents navigating the challenges of mental health during the perinatal period. I am a licensed PMH-C with specialized training from Postpartum Support International focusing on paternal mental health and have completed advanced training with the Postpartum Stress Center. I facilitate a weekly fatherhood group as part of the Baton Rouge Perinatal Counseling Collective.
