Introduction

Trauma. There can be a lot of stigma around what trauma is, and how addressing these issues makes a person weak. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”, “Snowflakes are always triggered”, “In my day, we just pulled ourselves up by our bootstraps”. These phrases can help when your’e in the middle of the struggle and have no support system. For a time. At some point, it becomes necessary for health reasons to address the trauma. Did you know that abuse has long-lasting physical health effects, such as raised stress (cortisol) levels? When addressed, I believe these effects can be mitigated, and relationships can become pleasant to participate in. Emotional intimacy and closeness doesn’t have to be terrifying and painful. Helping you get to this place where you are able to enjoy living is what I am passionate about. I’ve been there, and the journey to get out is worth the struggle. I use relationship-based, Adler inspired approaches to help you address your past experiences, your current mindsets and your desired future. My relationship with Christ colors my entire worldview, and if you are open to exploring His perspective, I openly discuss Biblical applications of mental health.
