Introduction

I guide women through healing complex and developmental trauma using a trauma-informed framework that centers relational attunement, somatic awareness, and pacing to support the nervous system’s natural capacity for safety and growth. Whether you’re releasing early-life wounds or navigating present-day overwhelm, we move together at your body’s pace—integrating mind and body, co-regulating in relationship, and cultivating the resilience that leads to lasting transformation. I work with women who are ready for deep, transformative healing—not just coping strategies. These are women who: - Have tried talk therapy but still feel stuck in overwhelm, numbness, or flashbacks. - Are ready to move beyond surface-level coping strategies into true nervous-system healing. - Seek a therapist skilled in both body-based methods and advanced EMDR/KAP protocols. Healing from trauma is not about controlling your emotions— it’s about feeling safe enough to let them live. Through somatic therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy), and ketamine-assisted work, I help women return to the wisdom of their bodies and the power of presence. With KAP, I offer both psycholytic (low-dose) and psychedelic approaches, depending on your needs and readiness. Your experience will be collaborative, compassionate, and attuned to your nervous system’s pace—not dictated by a set protocol. At the core of my approach is relational attunement—the felt experience of being deeply seen and met without judgment. Because trauma doesn't heal in isolation. It heals when we’re safe enough to be with another. Self-regulation is not the end goal. It's a tool—temporary and helpful—but the deeper healing comes when we feel safe enough to be fully in relationship, where every emotion is welcomed, not managed. That’s where your nervous system learns it’s safe to soften. That’s where lasting change begins. I’m Rachel Pires, a psychotherapist guiding women through deep trauma recovery since 2014. My journey began with a fascination for how the body holds—and can release—stored pain, which led me to specialized somatic psychology trainings with Beyond Healing Institute, alongside my yoga teacher training which I completed in 2018. I went on to earn EMDR certification (EMDRIA Certified Therapist™ and current Consultant-in-Training) and complete intensive ketamine-assisted psychotherapy trainings through Skylight Psychedelics, Journey Clinical, and Fluence, so I can meet you wherever your nervous system needs support. Healing happens in safe, attuned relationship. If you’re curious about what’s possible when your body is welcomed, your story honored, and your pace respected - I invite you to reach out. I offer a free consultation to explore fit.
