Rachel currently offers Healing Intensives for adult individuals who are looking to work on healing past wounds, better navigate present challenges, and accomplish future goals, with the ultimate goal of moving towards a more authentic version of you. Rachel helps her clients to identify current emotional states which are often linked with relational trauma wounds. EMDR, Somatic, and Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy approaches are used to reprocess past and present memories, so that clients can better navigate the present. Maladaptive patterns and beliefs are uncovered, which block innovation, growth, and opportunity. Healing Intensives are for clients looking for an intensive experience that is effective towards long term transformational change. The extended session length allows for uninterrupted focus on your particular goals, without the interruption and time limits of the traditional weekly therapy model. While there is a larger upfront cost, the shorter duration of treatment over all can save money. Intensives provide an opportunity to feel better faster so that you can get back to life. Healing Intensives can feature a combination of the following approaches/therapeutic models: EMDR Therapy; Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy; Ketamine-Assisted EMDR Therapy; Somatic Psychotherapy. We also layer on adjunctive approaches including meditation, breath work, sound healing, journaling/expressive therapies, and aromatherapy to further promote integration. EMDR Therapy taps into how the brain processes and stores information to help you move through life’s most difficult or traumatic experiences. It’s not just a technique— EMDR is a comprehensive approach to therapy. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is a highly researched and effective therapy model used to treat PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. Its 8-phase protocol helps you to identify how thoughts, feelings, and reactions may be connected to past formative experiences, and helps you to process through distressing or activating material using alternating eye movements, taps, vibrations (tappers) or sounds. It’s not just for trauma— EMDR can be helpful for a wide range of issues including: social anxiety, panic or fear around specific triggers, chronic illness or medical issues, performance anxiety (e.g. public speaking, sports/competitions), grief & loss, sexual assault, childhood trauma & abuse and much more. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy: KAP is a form of psychedelic assisted therapy using ketamine - a legal and safe psychedelic medicine. This treatment modality can be helpful for clients that are experiencing depression, anxiety, and symptoms related to trauma. Ketamine helps create a sense of emotional safety, allowing clients to approach distressing memories with less fear and self judgment. We typically recommend at least 6 to 8 sessions to experience the most post-traumatic growth. At Head and Heart Collective, we offer psycholytic (low dose) and psychedelic sessions. Psychedelic session length ranges from 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Ketamine-Assisted EMDR Therapy combines the power of EMDR therapy along with a low dose of Ketamine (psycholytic). Session length for this type of therapeutic model is 75 minutes to 90 minutes. Research on how we heal has recently revealed the model of weekly one-hour sessions may not be the most effective strategy for long term change. New research suggests that short, but intense, treatment may actually result in more gains. Intensives eliminate the need for months of living with trauma symptoms and the impacts they have on daily life and general wellbeing. Therapy goals can be achieved in a shorter period of time. **Structure of EMDR Healing Intensives: A combination of EMDR therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, meditation, mindfulness, sound healing, yoga therapy, and aromatherapy practices and also offer additional tools of journaling will be utilized for further integration. These can include extended sessions (up to 3 hours), 1-day EMDR intensives, or multiple day EMDR intensives (6 hours per day). This structure helps to maximize the amount of healing in a reduce treatment time. Adjunctive services such as acupuncture, massage therapy, yoga, reiki, and sound healing can be added to your on-site intensive experience for an additional cost. This offering is held either in-person at Rachel's office in Plantation, FL or virtually for clients who reside in the State of Florida.
