Therapy works best when we seek to balance acceptance and change. This approach allows us to gain insight and understanding regarding our emotional patterns, relationships, and other life circumstances as well as build practical skills that can be used in the present moment to navigate life more effectively. I seek to bring a validating, collaborative approach to therapy, helping you to make the changes you want with sensitivity, humor, and respect. I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and have experience providing treatment in a comprehensive DBT setting. My approach integrates mindfulness and skill building with more psychodynamic and trauma-informed influences that help us understand underlying patterns. I work with teens and adults experiencing emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, and other mood difficulties. I can also help individuals, couples, and parents to manage conflicts, navigate life transitions, and cope with general life stress. Located in downtown Ann Arbor, my office is near parking and the bus and within walking distance of UM campus.
