I am a Licensed Professional Counselor now accepting clients. I utilize a feminist, narrative, and cognitive approach to counseling. I believe that it is vital to take into consideration each person’s culture and values, especially for those who identify as members of marginalized communities. Counseling is, above all else, a collaboration between client and counselor. I recognize that empowerment and a focus on strengths leads to feeling better. I am able to work with a wide variety of presenting concerns, including depression, anxiety, gender issues, affectional/sexuality orientation issues, trauma, self-esteem and self-efficacy, relationships, and disempowerment as a result of oppressive societal institutions. You are the expert on you, whether you know it or not. My role is to help facilitate that knowing - knowing that you are capable, you are competent, and you can grow towards wellness and mental health, whatever that may mean for you individually. Let's get started!
