Introduction

Rachel Andrews has worked as a counselor and therapist since 2002. She has a Master’s in Social Work degree that she graduated with in 2012 from the University of Southern California. She has become noticed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon. Currently, Rachel assists individual adults struggling with mental, emotional, interpersonal, spiritual direction, growth, and change. She brings a strengths-based approach to her sessions, and fosters the enhancement of clients understanding the immediate and the core of the issues presented. In the past, Rachel has worked with adults, youth, children, and families focusing on mental, emotional, & behavioral health, family stress, low-income and homeless issues. This experience has been gained at South Lane Mental Health where she was a therapist on the ACT team, Trillium Family Services the Children’s Farm Home, ShelterCare, and Looking Glass. She volunteered at the Center for Community Counseling from 2012-2017, and had graduate practicums at ShelterCare, the Relief Nursery, and Lifestyle Changes Counseling. From 2002 to the present, she acquired skills working with adults & youth struggling with severe mental health issues, addictions, runaway & homeless youth, homeless adults, low-income families, couples, and children. In her personal life, Rachel enjoys spending time with and caring for her family. She and her husband have been married since 1999, and they have two wonderful teenagers. She facilitated an annual clothing drive from 2009-2019 to reach out to and assist those who desire assistance with clothing. She also participated in her previous church Women’s Ministry team for several years, gets involved in other church and Christian-related activities in the community. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys outdoor activities, freelance writing, baking, and cooking meals with and for her family and friends.
