I have worked in the behavioural health field with patients across the lifespan for over 20 years in a variety of settings ranging from hospitals, outpatient clinics and the community. I am a licensed professional counsellor and a certified professional counsellor supervisor in Georgia, a licensed clinical mental health counsellor in North Carolina and a registered out-of-state telehealth provider in Florida (https://flhealthsource.gov/telehealth/). Respecting the inherent dignity of each person and recognizing one’s potential to overcome life challenges are some of the elements which continue to inspire me to work in the mental health field. Hailing from a multicultural background, I can appreciate the unique experiences and backgrounds that make each patient different. My goal is to help adults, ages 18 and older, who may be struggling with life challenges as they seek to achieve their full potential. My approach relies heavily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with aspects of Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour (DBT), Solutions Focused and Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), where applicable.
