Introduction

Welcome to PsychoSocial Therapy! Luis: I am glad you are here because it means you are considering starting your therapeutic journey. Whether you've been to therapy before or this is your first time, starting therapy with a new provider can bring up some anxiety, but also excitement. My work specializes in supporting BIPOC, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ individuals. I love supporting folx on their journey of self-discovery and empowerment. If you are seeking support due to concerns about identity, sexuality, culture, and navigating racial stressors then I am here to help! I have been working as a therapist for the last 5 years with various populations. My theoretical orientation is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), however, I also consider myself an eclectic therapist who utilizes components from various other orientations. My primary focus is you! I pride myself on being client-centered and supporting your needs! As part of my mission to provide support and adequate care, I provide a free 30-minute consultation to discuss treatment. If we find that I am not a good fit, I will do my best to help connect you with someone who can be. I invite you to ask questions and take charge of your treatment. I am here to help so please do not hesitate to reach out! Liz: It is essential and powerful when you have a trusting relationship with your therapist. To have a space created where you know that you are seen, heard, and safe. I personally consider it an honor to witness stories and experiences and a privilege to walk alongside a person’s path of healing. I value the importance of decolonizing mental health, especially for BIPOC, and weaving in intersectionality, social justice, and spirituality. After all, we are multi-dimensional beings having a human experience. Honoring intergenerational trauma to release it and healing ourselves, our ancestors, and future generations. I also value traditional indigenous healing practices, especially dream work. I stand side by side with my clients to support them in reinventing themselves and living the life that they dream of manifesting!
