As a licensed professional counselor and cancer survivor, I bring both clinical expertise and personal insight to my practice. My experience with serious illness has deepened my empathy and understanding, enabling me to offer compassionate, evidence-based support to those facing challenges. I’m here to help you navigate your journey with strength and resilience, providing a supportive space for healing and growth. What should someone know about working with me? When we start our journey together, we'll begin with a thorough conversation to understand your needs and set goals. Progress can look different for everyone, whether it’s a reduction in symptoms, a deeper self-awareness, or achieving a specific goal you’ve set. Remember, progress takes time, effort, and consistency, and you’ll have the freedom to decide what adjustments you want to make. Our sessions could include handouts regarding topics, in-depth discussions on processing events, practical coping skill exercises, and/or a variety of different ways to tailor what would suit your unique preferences. With over 15 years of experience working with adults from 18 to their mid-80s, I’m here to provide a supportive and personalized therapeutic experience. Let's work together to find what best fits you and your journey toward growth and healing. What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider? I am passionate about continuous learning and regularly engage in online continuing education courses on topics that interest me or areas where I want to grow. Currently, I'm particularly focused on expanding my knowledge of Maternity and Postpartum Care, Neurodiversity, and EMDR for addressing Trauma. I am committed to becoming proficient in them to better support my clients. My dedication to ongoing education ensures that I stay informed about the latest developments in the field, allowing me to provide the best possible care.
