Scary, upsetting or highly stressful things that happen to us can leave behind lasting impressions in your body and mind that can lead to problematic thoughts, upsetting feelings, unhelpful behaviors and negative beliefs. You can feel stuck, trapped in the past or worried about what the future will hold.
