Perry Leynor, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas with six years of training and experience. Perry earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern State University (MSU). He has worked in a variety of settings including community, higher-level care, and private practice. Clinical Approach and Expertise Perry works with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with OCD & Anxiety disorders. He regularly treats conditions such as Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), panic disorder, mood disorders, and severe mental illness (SMI), including Schizophrenia Spectrum and Other Psychotic Disorders. He utilizes evidence-based approaches, including exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Perry continues to train and consult regularly to stay up to date on the latest research and approaches. Recently, he completed training through the International OCD Foundation’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute. He consults weekly with Dr. Martinez and the SOAR team to collaborate on cases and further develop his knowledge and skill set. Professional Leadership Perry presents at international conferences like the annual International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and at local conferences to spread awareness and educate other clinicians on the evidence-based treatment of OCD. Perry is a member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), and the DFW OCD Treatment Specialists (DOTS).
