Hi, I’m Paulina Chavez Medina (she/ella), a 1.5 generation immigrant born in Sinaloa, Mexico. I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, specializing in Latinx Family Systems and Trauma, from Pacific Oaks College in 2021. I love working with teenagers and adults. With teens, my focus is to help them explore and process their identities and roles by providing a thoughtful, safe space to discuss curious or difficult topics. I also enjoy working with parents because, as a parent myself, I understand the complexities of the role and the long-term journey of parenthood. Parenthood can be deeply rewarding, but it can also feel overwhelming, exhausting, and challenging. Drawing on both my lived and professional experiences, I aim to collaborate with you to achieve your therapeutic goals. Other individuals I work with include First Generation college students, those navigating acculturation and immigration trauma, individuals affected by military trauma, and BIPOC individuals during the perinatal and postpartum periods.
