Paula Andrea has been in the field of psychology for almost a decade. Prior to the field of psychology she was in the security and law enforcement field that also required her to utilize psychological tactics to assist those she took care of. She provides guidance and support through counseling to help people of all backgrounds reach their greatest potential. Through one-on-one sessions, workshops, and group training, she works to foster a space for learning, healing, and growing authentically. Paula Andrea enjoys working with clients both English and Spanish, who may be struggling with PTSD, depression, lifelong trauma related to the individual’s upbringing, the couple’s relationships, and individuals having a difficult time making decisions. During our first sessions, we will investigate the situation causing the distress to allow the client to get their life back a step at a time to help the client feel relief afterward. Over the years, she has trained in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and helped many individuals learn the skills to take control of the emotional pain or imbalance they are experiencing and learn how to grow and explore their full capacity one step at a time to reach their life’s goals. Paula Andrea specializes in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, Veterans, and Active Military who struggle with anger, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use, and domestic violence.
