My primary treatment goal across the spectrum of human experiences is to offer guidance toward a life grounded in the present with a focus on a preferred future. I believe therapeutic success is achieved through a respectful, direct, and enjoyable clinical relationship. I began my career in 1993 in Madison WI after completing undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Southern Mississippi. I work with children, teens and adults. I have expertise in addressing issues of relationship abuses, relationship repair, parenting, anxiety disorders, depression and trauma recovery, including military experiences. I became a provider of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in 1998, earning Certification in 2006. I became an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in 2016 and now provide training and consultation throughout Wisconsin and the US, Canada. In addition to EMDR, I can provide Gottman Method couples therapy, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My personal and professional approach to life emphasizes the importance and benefit of learning.
