Introduction

Welcome to my therapy practice. My name is Paula, and I want you to know that I’m here to support you on your journey through life's challenges. As a licensed mental health therapist, my passion lies in helping individuals navigate their personal struggles, whether they involve significant mental health issues, relationship difficulties, or the complexities of recovery from addiction for both individuals and their loved ones. I also understand how overwhelming it can be to seek clarity in finding life direction and managing stress, and I'm here to help with that too. In our sessions, you will find a warm and compassionate atmosphere where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without fear of judgment. I believe that fostering a safe and trusting relationship is crucial, and I strive to create an environment where you feel genuinely heard and accepted. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, meaning that your experiences and feelings will guide our work together. I draw upon various methods in therapy, including Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which can help address unhelpful thought patterns and emotional challenges. I also use Motivational Interviewing to empower you to discover your own strengths and motivations for change. If you’ve experienced trauma, I incorporate specialized techniques like Brainspotting, aimed at promoting healing and recovery in a supportive way. I aim to communicate with non-judgment and understanding, and I hope you feel accepted and validated as we work together. Many clients express a sense of being truly heard during our time together, which is incredibly important to me. I blend honesty, warmth, and a touch of humor to create an environment where you can explore and connect with your true self. My deepest commitment is to ensure you feel cared for and supported every step of the way. Together, let’s navigate this path toward healing and personal growth.
