I offer individual and family therapy. I am a therapist who is direct and goal-oriented. My ultimate goal is for my clients to know and feel they are worthy of love. My therapeutic style is eclectic, driven by the client's beliefs and where they are at currently. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strength-based, and collaborative. I incorporate modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I often incorporate motivational interviewing, mindfulness, or energy psychology techniques with other modalities. With children and teens, I also utilize art, sand tray, and play techniques. My professional background includes experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families who have various psychological, emotional and behavioral symptoms resulting from traumatic experiences and/or biological factors. I have assisted families with parenting, discipline, parent/child relationship issues, and children’s behavioral and emotional challenges. I have worked with severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents in a community-based program that provided wraparound support to youth and families. I grew up in Oklahoma and spent a lot of time on my family's farms. I lived in Anchorage, Alaska for almost 30 years before I relocated to Casper, Wyoming in November 2020. In July 2022, I relocated again back to Oklahoma. I completed my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2012. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist through the EMDR International Association. I am an active member of the National Association of Social Workers, EMDR International Association, and of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management. Prior to obtaining my master's degree, I worked for more than 25 years in the human resource and customer service fields for both profit and non-profit organizations. Please contact me to schedule a time to see if I can be a good fit in supporting you on your journey.
