Introduction

I am a trauma-informed, compassionate therapist who understands the mind-body connection in response to life experiences. I am dedicated to helping clients overcome anxiety, depression, anger, responses to triggers, shame, and chronic pain. I attained my Master's from Walden University in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. I learned about attachment styles and emotion-focused therapy. I became aware of adverse life experiences and trauma that led me to study everything I could get my hands on concerning trauma, complex trauma, its impact on mental, emotional, and physiological responses, sleep, appetite, self-image, relationships, and how to work with it. I also have been trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, which is used to treat chronic pain. I apply a holistic and systemic lens to understanding each person's life experiences. I use compassion to honor and validate the meaning and life experiences. I apply neuropsychology (neural plasticity), emotion-focused, somatic-focused, compassionate, cognitive, and systemic interventions that help people understand themselves and others through a different lens. I honor cultural experiences and challenges. Life happens and life experiences often include pain, loss, and sometimes trauma. Our minds and bodies adapt to life's challenges. Sometimes those adaptations stay with us and can keep us stuck in patterns of behavior that do not serve us. Whether your focus is to navigate current difficulties in your life, improve or repair your relationships, or build a strong foundation for your mental and emotional wellness - I am here to help! We’ll work together to overcome obstacles in life and achieve your goals. Your therapeutic experience should feel validating, helpful, and purposeful. I work with sincerity, compassion, and non-judgment. I provide a safe environment where we can explore your experiences, resilience, and setbacks for improvement. Together, we can reconnect you to your authentic self, honoring who you are today and who you hope to become tomorrow.
