My name is Patricia Manning but my nick name is "Pam". I have been working with children, individuals and families, first as a social worker, then as a counselor in a variety of roles for over 45 years. I enjoy the work I do and although I can't "fix" everything in the lives of the people I serve, I can support them and help them to build tools to manage uncomfortable emotions and better cope with difficult life challenges including trauma. I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling. I am a licensed counselor in both South Carolina and Oregon and offer a variety of techniques that are well researched and considered "Best Practice" approaches in the mental health field. However, I believe the best predictor of the success of my clients is the relationship I am able to create with them. I approach my work with a deep sense of commitment and compassion for the people I serve but balance it with humor as we work together to tackle the issues they wish to address. I encourage you to reach out and make an appointment. Therapy is truly a gift for yourself and those you love!
