For years she struggled with poor self-worth, shame, and just a low hanging cloud of insecurity. She found it difficult to relax and would often stay up into the wee hours of the night so that she did not have to deal with the negative chatter in her mind. Memories from the past kept playing like a broken record and it felt like these things were happening to her all over again. Her emotions were all over the place and her relationships suffered. She felt depressed and hopeless. Does this sound like you or someone you love? Past trauma can negatively impact our thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and even our physical health. Sometimes no matter how hard we try, we can not think away the effects of trauma without professional intervention. The good news is that we don't have to stay stuck in the past . We can learn to work through these issues and find healthier ways to live. Our past does not need to predict our future. I have now been practicing in the mental health field for 26 years and I continue to love this work. I specialize in helping people move past trauma and wounds so that they can live without interference from the past. I love seeing people become able to view themselves as a person of worth and to see how this change can positively transform all areas of their lives. I utilize an integrated approach that encourages healthy mind, body, and spiritual practices so that we can break free from the patterns that keep us stuck....so that people can step into a future with greater hope, health, and happiness.
