Introduction

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Career Counselor (CCC). I completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Human Development in 2012, and a Master of Arts in Career Counseling in 2017, both from North Carolina Central University. Currently, I am enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Secondary Education, with a focus on Social Justice. In my free time, I enjoy DJing, Karaoke, and Archery. As a counselor for mental health and career, I strive to help my clients create a balanced life that focuses on holistic wellness. My counseling work focuses on career and life preparation as well as individual, couple, and family counseling. My approach to counseling is a combination of several therapies, including person-centered, mindfulness-based, reality therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. During our sessions, we will focus on cultivating mindful awareness, building an authentic and empathetic relationship with you, and working collaboratively to identify practical changes that can help minimize emotional and behavioral struggles. My role is to provide nonjudgmental support and assist you in achieving your goals. I will help facilitate your journey by working with you to identify and overcome any obstacles that may arise.
