I’m Olga, a bilingual psychiatric provider who believes in understanding my patient’s as a whole, addressing both the psychological and medical aspects of care, with a collaborative approach, in which patients remain empowered of their care. I have a diverse work experience that includes over 10 years in inpatient, outpatient and residential settings for children, adolescents and adults, as well as over 5 years in research, performing psychiatric interviews and neurocognitive testing. Through my career, I have developed an integrative, whole-person care, tailoring treatment plans to meet each patient’s unique needs. Being fluent in both English and Spanish, I am committed to serving diverse communities with empathy and understanding. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Los Andes University (Colombia), a Master’s in Counseling from UTSA, and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from UT Health SA. I am licensed in Texas and board-certified Physician Assistant, with specialized training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and medication management. I practice placing you at the center of your healing journey. My approach goes beyond symptom management, addressing the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of mental health. I strive to collaborate with you to create personalized, evidence-based treatment plans, combining medication management, psychotherapy, and holistic interventions to support your overall well-being. With compassion and respect, I seek to empower you through education, lifestyle strategies, and emotional support, helping you build resilience and reclaim a life of balance, purpose, and vitality. As someone born and raised in Colombia, I am passionate about providing culturally sensitive care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, practicing mindfulness and challenging myself with new ways to express myself such as watercolor painting and learning pottery.
