Hello! I am Dr. Nora, a Licensed Psychologist focused on showing up authentically to connect with individuals and couples presenting with a variety of mental health needs. My background includes experience working with individuals across the lifespan in a multitude of setting types. I consider myself a forever learner, to not only help myself grow and thrive, but so that I can expand the tools I have to pass that empowerment to the people I meet and collaborate with in therapy. I take an integrative therapy approach to tailor my services using evidenced based treatment approaches to my clients and their presenting needs and therapy goals. I am an active member of PsyPact/E.Passport/APIT; I am able to see clients in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, CO, CNMI, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NV, NH, NJ, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY. A little more about me includes that I was born and raised in the midwest, moved around for many education and training experiences, and now call the Seattle area home. My family and I are happy that we've established roots in the area and engage in activities that help us connect to ourselves, each other, and our community. I enjoy anything related to the kitchen (baking, cooking, eating!) especially surrounded by family and friends, all things entertainment (movies, books, music), sports (cheering on Seattle Sounders and Go Cubbies and da Bears!), and moving my body in a way that makes me feel happy (distance running, walking, mini dance parties!). Although this is not limited to the communities that I practice with, I am Polyamorous, Consensually Non-Monogamous (CNM)/Ethically Non-Monogamous (ENM), Kink, Queer, Fat, Body Neutrality, and Immuno-disorders aware/knowledgeable. For the couples interested in my services: I am Gottman Level 1 and Level 2 certified. As with my individual client based work, I utilize evidenced based practices to tailor treatment to your presenting needs as a couple. I provide services to both individuals and couples, and am considered an 'Out Of Network' (OON) provider. Most insurance plans have coverage/benefits toward reimbursements for therapy, which may significantly reduce your out of pocket expenses. I am happy to provide a super bill for my clients to submit for reimbursement to their insurance provider. Please note that if you elect to submit through your insurance, your insurance provider can access and request your private and confidential information, dictate the type, length, and quantity of your sessions, and require a DSM-5 mental health diagnosis. Please reach out to your insurance provider to gain specific understanding of your selected plans for coverage and OON provider information. I am pleased that you've made it this far and I look forward to connecting with you for your therapy journey! Please note, I am not able to provide emergency services. If you are experiencing a life threatening emergency, or require an immediate response due to a threat, please contact emergency services by dialing 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You can also access suicide and crisis services related to mental health by dialing or texting 988, which is available 24/7.
