The various studies of the mind and the brain have come up as inconclusive in modern day medicine and for those of us who study mental health because of various unknown factors of how the brain works and/or heals. The brain and the studies of how the mind works is the most complex and yet the most interesting of all organs in our body because of its many functions. Here at NNK 4 L.I.F.E., we understand the importance of the mind and mental health, but we also know that if your mental health is off balance, your body and spirit will be off too. Therefore, we developed relationships to form a community of wellness to address the whole person for what we call the Gateway Emotions to physical illnesses, obesity and mental health disorders – Stress & Anxiety. We are the full supportive services of self and preventive care through counseling, coaching and classes… Mind, Body and Spirit! Dr. Nicole N. Benton is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder and CEO of NNK 4 L.I.F.E. specializing in all things related to Trauma. She has over 25 years’ experience working in community mental health, crisis, and emergency services. She started NNK as a private practice that grew into a group practice with her interns who are now licensed and practicing alongside her with their own unique gifts and talents. It is her hope that her dedication to serving the community continues through those she has taught and mentored. And, she continues to teach, train, and provide non-profit community services through NNK 4 CommUNITY, Inc, providing clinical supervision in the mental health field to students and upcoming professionals in hopes of passing on all that she's learned at our community sites through our partnership with Hearts to Nourish Hope, Inc and other organizations and churches. The COO and Clinical Director, Royale Schoepf was one of Dr. Benton's first interns and is a future Clinical Supervisor that will carryout the legacy of Dr. Benton for years to come, while building her own legacy to pass on. She practices out of our Gwinnett County community site and through telehealth. She is enthusiastic and motivated with considerable experience working with adolescents and adults in a myriad of private practice and assistance-based settings; mental health, crisis management, education, etc. Experienced in mental health assessments, individual, family and group counseling. Royale pursues expansion of current knowledge and skill set to better assist clients realize the power and strength within themselves. Together, Dr. Benton, Royale, and the other associates bring forth their best in assisting others in Living Independently for Excellence!
