Therapy can be a daunting process, regardless of where you are in life. As your therapist, I want to work with you side-by-side to reach your goals. Whether you want to learn new coping skills, alleviate your depression or anxiety, or work on your relationships, as a team we will collaborate to determine the best plan of action that fits you and your vision of treatment. I am currently working under the supervision of Tonya Kinnaman, MA, LPC, NCC, founder and clinical director of Phoenix Wellness Center. In my practice, I believe everyone is a unique individual deserving of a unique approach. Though I work from a multicultural, person-centered framework, I utilize other techniques as I see fit. As an eclectic therapist, I use techniques from CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, trauma informed therapy, and more. I love integrating art into my practice as well! As your therapist, my job is to create an environment where you feel safe, comfortable, and prepared to begin your healing journey. Together, we will work collaboratively to address your concerns, issues, and anything else that may arise. If you're ready to grow, face your challenges, gain insight, and learn new skills, look no further. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, LGBTQIA, and/or BIPOC issues. In our sessions, we will work on building our relationship and exploring your life and history to create your full narrative. It is important to remember that in therapy things may seem worse before they get better, but I will be with you through all of it. In my work, I operate from a humanistic framework. In our sessions, I want to explore your story and learn about the various pieces that when brought together, form you. I often incorporate different modalities based on your needs, and what seems appropriate for our work. I love utilizing art during sessions to explore feelings and thought patterns, but also for fun and relaxation.
