Introduction

Hello! My name is Nikki Pastian, LCSW. I have worked with families, adolescents, and teens for the past 9 years in school, group homes, and emergency care settings. I am passionate in helping children, adolescents, and families learn, grow, and succeed together. I strive to assist families in learning and understanding the effects of negative choices and managing stressors, through implementing behavior modification plans, assessing needs and strengths, and collaborating with parents and other professionals. Through these experiences I have developed a love for assisting families, either as a unit or individually. Working with parents/guardians to strengthen their self-esteem, romantic relationship, parenting relationship, and self motivation is an unrelenting passion I have. My work within the LGBTQ+ community began in college and has persisted. Assisting individuals developing confidence in their identity, building communities, driving policy change, and developing passion for life are high on my priority list.
