Introduction

Are you faced with challenges that impacts your sense of security and emotional well- being? I provide a therapeutic environment that fosters affirmation, empathy, effective listening, care and committment, which gives you the opportunity to be your full self. No two people are the same which is why the approach that I take in my practice is highly-personalized and refined to fit your needs. I will help you recognize your underlying strongholds, fully realize your strengths and help you adjust to a new, healthier lifestyle. Everyone is capable of change, given a safe, accepting environment, along with support and tools for personal growth. I would be honored to help you on your journey. I am a certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT). DBT helps with managing difficult emotions, negative thinking patterns and improving relationships. DBT may be used to treat suicidal and other self-destructive behaviors. I am also a Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist II and Certified ADHD-Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). Other methodologies utilized include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT). Affirm Counseling's mission is to change mindsets, to change lives.
