My dedication for providing quality mental healthcare started when I worked as a Senior Therapist on an Assertive Community Treatment team providing care for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. In that role, my team and I witnessed our clients experience so much healing simply due to them being accepted, understood, and treated with respect in a consistent therapeutic relationship. Later I worked as an outpatient therapist in a clinic in which I had the honor of supporting many individuals experiencing issues such as an inner critic, shame, regret, fears of abandonment and rejection, and feeling not good enough, defective, or broken. I've helped many to... -create safety and connection in the midst of crisis -identify the patterns that sustain their depression, -come up with clear steps to interrupt patterns that sustain depression, -set healthy boundaries within high conflict codependent families and relationships, -better understand and manage unwanted intrusive thoughts, -process and work through relationship dynamics and trauma histories that felt confusing, complicated, and painful, -unravel some really unpleasant religious experiences, -establish or re-establish a sense of self after a major change in worldview, significant life transitions, etc. -work with ADHD and not against it, and better understand an ADHD/ADD diagnosis As a mental health care provider, I value... -providing care that's evidenced-based and destigmatizing, -engaging in ongoing education, training, and research to continue to develop my clinical knowledge and skills, -participating in consultation and supervision for peer support, and for delivery of best practice, -and actively learning how to make my practice as neurodivergent-affirming as possible for my clients. If you are an adult in Colorado who is looking for individual therapy that's 100% virtual with a therapist who is caring, dedicated, purposeful, and solution-focused, who advocates for your needs while still fostering your sense of personal responsibility, and who can help you to create goals to address issues that are clear, specific, and attainable, I invite you to contact me to schedule a free 15-minute consult call. By the end of the call if we've both determined that we are a good fit to work together, I will provide instructions on how to check for insurance eligibility. I'm currently accepting new patients with Aetna, Cigna, and Optum insurance as well as self-pay patients. I am available for appointments Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm MST. I will respond to all calls or emails within 48 business hours. Thank you for taking the time to read about me and what my practice has to offer. I look forward to getting to know you!
