Nicole is a licensed independent clinical social worker and has been in the mental health field for several years. She received her Clinical Social Work Masters Degree from Augsburg College in Minneapolis. She brings warmth, a little bit of humor and creativity to the therapeutic process in recognizing that each person is unique. Nicole uses a competency and relational based lens and believes in the importance of autonomy throughout the therapeutic process. In partnering with individuals and families, Nicole hopes to deepen a persons’ understanding of how the mind, body and spirit have adapted to circumstances and past experiences. She hopes to foster self-compassion and increase awareness and relationship with all parts of self to promote growth and healing. Nicole uses a variety of researched and clinically proven approaches to assist in this process, including AIR Network, Somatic-Mindfulness, Psychodynamic and Cognitive-Behavioral modalities. Nicole specializes in working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma, dissociation, and mental illness. Nicole is LGBTQIA+ affirming, welcomes all cultures/identities, and has a passion for working with the first responder community.
