Life is challenging. Joining me in this therapeutic relationship is an invitation into a process of change that honors your experience of distress within the context of your ability to grow. Processing the emotions that arise while navigating the deeper layers of your experience requires a felt sense of safety, and I commit to participating in our work together with reliable and authentic presence. My therapeutic approach is strongly influenced by Existential-Humanistic theory by which we contend with life’s givens in the here-and-now. I use interventions from Internal Family Systems and Narrative Therapy. Furthermore, through the Felt Sense Polyvagal Model, clients and I aspire toward integration of their somatic, cognitive, and affective states. Throughout my clinical training with couples and families, healing is achieved using treatment plans that include The Gottman Method and Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (c-EFT). As a registered associate, I abide by the code of ethics outlined by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (OBLPCT) and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT).
