In 2010 Willow got its start in the rural southwest corner of Kansas, and has now grown into a group practice in Northeast Kansas, here at in Baldwin City! We have had the pleasure of sitting across from hundreds of individuals looking to better their relationships, lives, understanding of oneself, heal trauma or wounds, along with many other presenting issues. Life can get difficult, relationships can lose their luster, wounds are tough to live with... and sometimes a little support and guidance from a professional therapist can make things easier, if not even better. We honor the courage that it took for you to come this far in your pursuit for well-being and something different. We would be happy to have a conversation with you about what it might look like for you to begin therapy with one of us! Please don't hesitate to reach out in whatever way feels most comfortable for you (email, phone, text, website inquiry). We sincerely look forward to knowing you! Nicole Crites Clinically Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist I am Nicole-wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, therapist, and owner at Willow Emotional & Relational Health, LLC! Often times I am asked if I am a "Christian Counselor." To that I respond, "I am a therapist who is a Christian, undeservingly saved by God's grace and mercy alone! My professional licensure, however, is in Marriage & Family Therapy, not in Christian Counseling." Each client system is different in all kinds of ways, and whether or not ones own spiritual beliefs are brought into the therapy room is up to each individual. Kristen Thomas Masters Level Student Intern Friends University's Marriage & Family Therapy Program I believe people have a greater capacity to cope when they do not feel alone. With a background in education, I am deeply rooted in a process of identifying strengths within individuals and family systems. The demands of life can become so overwhelming at times. Having an outside resource of support can be a valuable way help build better attunement to our own needs and learn how to more authentically respond to endless demands we face in life and relationships. As a wife and mother of a blended family, I have learned something about the experience of finding oneself in unexpected places along life's journey and the importance of holding onto hope. I would love to provide a safe place for you to bring your story and work together to discover the tools and support that you need to experience greater hope and healing. Therapy Sessions with Kristen are a flat, out of pocket rate, of $35.
