Introduction

Hello and welcome to Central Phoenix Counseling and Therapy! My name is Nikki Aragon and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 15 years (and counting!) of mental and behavioral health experience. I am a collaborative, client-centered therapist with a passion for creating a safe and open environment to facilitate healing from trauma, working through life's challenges and thriving in all areas of life and relationships. I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples and families overcome personal and relational obstacles, take emotional risks, and build healthy and meaningful connections to others. These are my goals for every client I serve. My background and training: After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with my BA in Psychology, I earned a Master of Science degree from Arizona State University (no, U of A and ASU don't cancel each other out :)). I went on to complete my post-graduate clinical work for independent licensure at a well-established community behavioral health agency. During my work with the agency, I also supervised associate-level therapists working toward independent licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy. Since transitioning into private practice in 2015, I have continued to enhance my intervention skills with individuals, couples and families through Advanced Training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and trauma-focused training and continuing education in a variety of behavioral-health contexts. I am elated that you are considering Central Phoenix Counseling and Therapy, and am truly honored to join with you in addressing your needs, moving toward your goals and building upon your unique strengths!
