I entered the field of social services in 1996 when I began working as an Assistant in the Child & Families Program at the Washington Hancock Community Agency. From there I have been a case manager, Assistant Director (and then Director) of a homeless shelter, substance use and mental health counselor at an agency, Program Director of a substance use residential treatment program for women with children, and now mental health counselor in my own practice. I know from my own past experiences and journey as well as my work with others over the last several years that negotiating what life can throw at us is hard sometimes, especially when we think we have to do it alone and I am here to tell you that you do not have to do this alone; I am willing to stand beside you. I will assist you in discovering underlying issues, free up blocks, and heal old wounds as well as provide you with tools that you can use outside of counseling to build resilience or lessen anxiety.
