Hi everyone! Welcome to my practice Grow Through It Counseling Services. My name is Nichola Lydon. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), and a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS). I am looking forward to embarking on this journey to recovery with you. I have been in the field for 7 years. I love what I do and cannot picture doing anything different in life. I love advocating for others and helping others overcome challenges. The reward of seeing other people’s successes is an indescribable feeling. What you can expect from me: I operate from a non-judgement and no stigma mindset. Our sessions are your safe place where you can come, talk, feel safe, and be treated with dignity and respect. I work with a wide range of mental health and substances use issues. I have extensive experience with Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective disorder, PTSD, Perinatal mood disorders, substance use disorder treatment, working with pregnant woman and substance use disorder, working with veterans, first responders, depression, and anxiety just to name a few. No issue will ever be too big or too small to overcome. Sessions are for you to process what you need to process and for me to assist you in developing your own plan to sustain a healthy mental health. Let's start this journey together. You can "grow through what you go through." You do not have to go through it alone! This is a 501c3 organization that provides individual therapy for mental health and substance abuse. I also provide community education on substance abuse, mean health issues, perinatal mood disorder education, and peer services education. I participate in FREE Narcan distribution and the New Jersey Leave Behind Program. Please enquire for more information on services provided.
