Introduction

I have served folx across the lifespan, from adolescents to older adults, addressing symptoms from early trauma experiences to existential concerns near the end of life. Some of my most favorite skill-building opportunities to consider with clients are the ability to receive love and care, healthy risk-taking, identification of needs, and challenging perfectionism. Lived experiences and intersectional identities shape who we are and how we show up. I am a cisgender, queer, non-disabled, white woman who is a Spanish language learner, yogi, and lover of long urban hikes. While I incorporate my identities and lived experiences into my work, I too strive to incorporate yours in our work together. When participating in occupational therapy, you have the opportunity to engage in meaningful and purposeful therapeutic activities as a means to build skills. Us occupational therapists often call our practice the “doing therapy”. When receiving an occupational therapy consultation, you have the opportunity to be witnessed and offered direct input regarding your occupational performance. Among many others, occupations to consider may include: paid work, socializing, playing, parenting, volunteering, studying, healing, planning, caring for others, dating, home upkeep, and relaxing. We have capacity to build meaningful skills we need for the various seasons of life. I am here to support you in that work.
